Roster playbook

Conservation crews, op shops, gardens and mentoring programmes rarely need a single open day — they need a roster. This playbook matches how the network is built.

Publish a year-round project

In workspace admin, create a project with title, access note (who can join), venue and rohe. Enable list in regional hub if you want Bay-wide discovery.

Share the enroll link

Volunteers open /join/yourorg/project/{code}, enter name and mobile, and join the roster. No account required.

Schedule linked volunteer days

Create a volunteer day and link it to the project. The day is roster-only — public sign-up is closed; enrolled members respond yes or no with their mobile.

Notify the roster

Use copy-ready SMS text from admin, plus push notifications for subscribers. Crew check-in handles the day-of list including walk-ins.

Common questions

Can anyone join the roster?
You control access notes; some projects are invite-only in practice.
What if someone is not on the roster?
They see a prompt to join the project first.
Drop-ins on the day?
Crew check-in supports walk-in capture.
