IHC Friendship Volunteer-do you like big ideas, everyday life, great conversation
Do you love lively chats about what’s happening in the world, big political ideas, meaningful advocacy, or the latest twists in movies and TV shows like Shortland Street? We’re looking for someone who enjoys these conversations and would like to connect with a person who shares the same spark. This role is a great fit if you can make time for a relaxed video call once a week or fortnight. It’s all about easy, enjoyable conversation — no set plans, just genuine connection. We’re hoping to find someone calm, kind, and patient — especially someone comfortable supporting a person with a speech impairment and happy to chat at their pace. Your warmth and steady presence will help build a meaningful friendship grounded in shared interests and good conversation.
