**Organisation:** Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Zealand (BBBSNZ) Location: Auckland (flexible/remote with local coordination required)

Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Zealand is looking for a passionate, proactive Volunteer Fundraising Event Coordinator to help us create impactful events that support young people across Aotearoa.

About the Role This is a hands-on, creative volunteer role where you’ll take the lead in coordinating fundraising events in Auckland. From beginning to end, you’ll help bring events to life that engage the community, raise vital funds, and build awareness of our mentoring programmes.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Planning and coordinating fundraising events (large and small) in Auckland - Sourcing venues, participants, and supporters - Reaching out to local businesses and sponsors to secure prizes, donations, and partnerships - Bringing fresh, creative ideas to grow our fundraising efforts - Working alongside the BBBSNZ team to align events with our mission and goals - Helping create a great experience for attendees, volunteers, and supporters

What We’re Looking For

- A confident, “no fear” attitude – you’re not afraid to ask for support or think outside the box - Strong communication and relationship-building skills - Organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple tasks - Experience in events, fundraising, sales, or community engagement (helpful but not essential) - A genuine passion for supporting young people and making a difference
