Financial Plan Developer – BOP Pickleball Stadium Project
We are seeking a financially skilled volunteer to develop a robust financial plan for a proposed pickleball stadium in Tauranga, supporting the wider Western Bay of Plenty community. This role is critical in establishing the financial viability of the project and supporting engagement with Tauranga City Council, funding bodies, and potential partners. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Develop a detailed financial model for the proposed pickleball stadium • Estimate capital costs, including: o Land acquisition (if required) o Design, consenting, and construction o Courts, roofing (if indoor), lighting, and amenities • Prepare operating cost forecasts, including: o Staffing and management o Maintenance and resurfacing o Utilities, insurance, and administration • Build revenue projections based on: o Memberships and casual court hire o Coaching programmes and leagues o Tournaments and events o Sponsorship and naming rights opportunities • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis (e.g. low/high participation, staged development) • Identify and model funding options: o Grants (e.g. community and sport funding bodies) o Council contributions or partnerships o Debt financing or staged investment • Assess long-term sustainability and break-even timelines • Work with the wider team to align financial assumptions with site and business planning • Prepare clear financial summaries and supporting material for stakeholders
